We at Unite As One believe everyone should be given a fair chance so we work with a wide range to try better the community and bring people together. We organise a wide range of activities aimed to help people’s physical well-being and mental health. Our projects include football, basketball, tennis, dance, singing, team building exercises, motivational speaking, homework club and various other activities all designed to support our young people in a holistic manner.
Mental health is a key element in young peoples lives in todays age and we try our upmost to create positive relationships with our young people and workers so they can feel safe and have a space to express themselves and speak out about their feeling and in turn this will help them grow and flourish as an individual.
We know through sports we can help tackle inequality, we understand many young people see sports as a release, a chance to get away from their problem and have a sense of freedom and enjoyment.
Through our different projects we aim to connect young people with other members of the community who can build friendships that they can take outside the projects. We believe through our project we can help improve self confidence and social skills therefore making it easier for our young people to use these skills in real world.
